Emmy Awards

Le notizie che vengono offerte dall'assegnazione dei sessantanovesimi Emmy Awards sono fondamentalmente tre:
- Games of Thrones, essendo uscito a luglio e finito da poco, non ha potuto partecipare a questa rassegna. Ha lasciato, così spazio ad altri contendenti;
- Stranger Things, acclamata serie di Netflix di cui si parlava qui, ha portato a casa premi minori;
- Westworld, grande serie sempre HBO di cui si parlava qui, ha, nonostante i due punti sopra, ha portato a casa, anche lei, solo premi minori.

Per il resto. Chi l'ha vista racconta che la cerimonia di premiazione ha avuto uno spettro aleggiante su di lei per tutta la serata: Donald Trump. Molti premi, tra cui quelli assegnati al Saturday Night Live Show, sono derivanti dall'imitazione e/o dalla satira sul Presidente degli Stati Uniti d'America.

Hanno vinto Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern ed Alexander Skarsgård per ruoli diversi in Big Little Lies, facendo il pieno di premi per la serie.

La miglior serie drammatica ha visto ritirare il premio il web network Hulu per The Handmaid's Tale, stupendo molti.

Diciamo che è stata un'edizione decisamente politica e che ha visto serie inaspettate portare a casa premi che ci si aspettava sarebbero andati a produzioni che hanno avuto maggior riscontro di pubblico e critica, anche internazionale.
