Si torna su questo pagine digitali sempre meno spesso, ma ci sono appuntamenti a cui non si può mancare.
Infatti nella notte di ieri si è tenuta ieri sera la 71esima edizione degli Emmy Awards Quest'anno non erano affidati ad un unico conduttore, tanto che persino Homer Simpson ha fatto una capatina sul palco per intrattenere i presenti in sala.
A raccogliere i maggiori frutti dalla stagione televisiva passa sono state le serie inglesi, con il dominio incontrastato della HBO sia come numero di vittorie nella sezione dedicata alle serie in prima serata (nove premi) sia complessivamente, e cioè inclusi i Creative Arts che si sono tenuti una settimana fa (ben 34 premi).
Amazon Prime Video ha portato a casa 7 Emmy mentre Netflix ne ha messi in cascina 4.
Nonostante le opinioni contrastanti su come si è conclusa, l’ultima stagione di Game of Thrones ha vinto il premio come miglior serie drammatica (per la quarta volta in otto stagioni, le uniche altre serie ad aver ottenuto così tante volte l’Emmy sono Mad Men, The West Wing, Hill Street Blues e L.A. Law).
La serie quest’anno ha conquistato, tra primetime e creative Emmy, ben 12 premi, tra cui anche quello come miglior attore per Peter Dinklage.
Nella sezione comedy la seconda stagione de La Fantastica Signora Maisel non ha sconvolto la categoria come l'anno scorso, ma è stata Fleabag a ricevere il premio, vincendo anche su Veep. Hanno però ricevuto un Emmy sia Tony Shalhoub che Alex Borstein. L'ideatrice della serie e protagonista di Fleabag, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, ha ottenuto l’Emmy come migliore attrice in una comedy. Questo l'ha portata a battere Julia Louis-Dreyfus, che avrebbe ottenuto il record con nove vittorie. Oltre a questo ha portato a casa anche quello come miglior sceneggiatura, nello stesso momento la serie ha vinto anche l’Emmy per la miglior regia.
È stata una grande serata per la Waller-Bridge: Killing Eve, serie da lei creata, ha fatto conquistare l’Emmy come migliore attrice in una serie drammatica a Jodie Comer. Bill Hader ha ottenuto l’Emmy come miglior attore in una comedy (Barry), Billy Porter come miglior attore in una serie drammatica (Pose).
Tra le miniserie è stata la rivelazione Chernobyl ha ottenere ben tre riconoscimenti, tra cui miglior miniserie.
RuPaul’s Drag Race ha trionfato per la seconda volta consecutiva come miglior reality competitivo, e lo stesso RuPaul ha vinto per la quarta volta consecutiva l’Emmy come miglior conduttore.
A completare il trionfo inglese, me la sono tenuta per ultima, come non citare la vittoria dell'episodio Bandersnatch di Black Mirror tra i migliori film per la tv?
