Oscar 2013

Notte di neve e grandine sull'Italia e notte di premi Oscar in quel di Hollywood.
Come è andata la notte del cinema mondiale in questa sera di fine Febbraio 2013 nella mecca del cinema?
Ci sono state alcune sorprese ed alcune certezze. Partiamo dagli Oscar che mi fanno più piacere: Christoph Waltz e Quentin Tarantino. Sono contento che un film particolare come Django Unchained abbia portato a casa due premi non pesanti, ma importanti. Il primo per il miglior attore protagonista ed il secondo per la migliore sceneggiatura originale, scritta proprio da Tarantino. Waltz porta a casa il suo secondo Oscar in tre anni proprio grazie alle interpretazioni per il regista di Pulp Fiction.
Altre certezze che avevo: Miglior Film di Animazione a Brave della Disney, Miglior corto di animazione a Paperman, Miglior Attrice non Protagonista ad Anne Hathaway (secondo me questo premio riassume l'ottimo anno che ha vissuto grazie, anche, a Nolan), Miglior Canzone ad Adele per Skyfall e Miglior attore Protagonista a Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln.
E' proprio Lincoln ad uscire deluso da questa celebrazione del talento. Dalle 12 candidature è riuscito a strappare solo 2 statuette: Miglior Attore Protagonista e Scenografia. Sinceramente non mi stupisco più di tanto. Si era capito nel corso degli ultimi mesi che pur di non premiare Spielberg per una qualsiasi cosa, fosse anche il miglior parcheggio a lisca di pesce, i vari addetti ai lavori avrebbero dato l'Oscar persino all'addetto delle pulizie dei bagni pubblici di Buffalo. Il buon Steven sperava, vista l'assenza di Ben Affleck tra i migliori registi, di portare a casa almeno questo premio personale. Invece, l'Academy ha voluto premiare Ang "Delusione Hulk" Lee per Vita di Pi (che non ho visto e non mi rammarcio, sarà pura un pregiudizio preconcetto).
Miglior Film Staniero all'acclamato Amour e curioso parimerito per Montaggio del suono per Skyfall e Zero Dark Thirty (questo secondo con la regia di Katerine Bigelow, premiata al posto dell'ex marito James Cameron con la statuetta per il miglio film qualche anno fa).
Soddsifazione per Ben Affleck e George Clooney per gli ennesimi premi di Argo dei quali il più importante è Miglior Film (gli altri due sono Montaggio e Sceneggiatura Adattata).

Mi dicono che anche la serata sia stata divertente e misurata. William Shatner ha chiacchierato con il conduttore della serata Seth McFarlane, si sono visti gli Avengers consegnare alcuni premi tecnici, Barbara Streisand ha cantato dopo 36 anni, Jennifer Lawrence è inciampata mentre saliva sul palco a ritirare la sua statuetta, Jack Nicholson ha passato la parola a Michelle Obama, in diretta dalla Casa Bianca, per annunciare il vincitore del premio per il Miglior Film. Mi dicono, anche, che ci sia stata una borsetta a forma di cane, un abito strano per Anne Hathaway ed uno per Halle Berry, ma devo ancora verificare. Come anche una strepitosa Sandra Bullock, di una bellissima Jennifer Lawrence e di una Kristen Stewart in abito bianco e stampella. Sembra che il bianco sia stato il colore portante della serata per le donne e che tutte abbiano fatto un figurone.

Merita una foto anche lei visto che, finalmente ha indossato un vestito decente (secondo solo alla scena dalla fuga in macchina di The Road).

Peccato non aver potuto vedere lo spettacolo, come al solito in esclusiva per Sky e per tutti coloro che hanno i soldi per poterselo permettere, ma mi rifarò vedendo foto, leggendo notizie nell'Internet e zappando i video su Youtube.

Nomination Oscar 2013

Lo so sono in ritardo di un giorno su tutto, ma domani recupero.

Argo, Django, I Miserabili, Lincoln sono i film che ancora non ho visto e che vorrei vedere che sono stati candidati come Miglior Film agli Oscar 2013. 

Come avrete capito ieri sono uscite le nomination per i maggiori premi internazionali del cinema. Ma cosa è successo in quel di Hollywood?

Quindi, per quanto riguarda il numero di nomination, Lincoln ne ottiene 12, Vita di Pi (che dicono bello, ma non mi ispira) ne ottiene 11, Les Misérables 8, Argo 7, Zero Dark Thirty e Django Unchained 5. Nel campo dei film d'animazione sono sorprende la grande presenza dell'animazione stop-motion, infatti, tre dei cinque film nominati all'Oscar sono stati realizzati in questa tecnica.

Nota un po' triste, ma che riconosce la capacità di una straordinaria costumista morta prematuramente nel 2012, Eiko Ishioka, straordinaria costumista del Biancaneve di Tarsem Singh.

Solo nomination minori per Lo Hobbit di Peter Jackson e per il successo commerciale della Marvel The Avengers. Solo brutte notizie per Christopher Nolan ed il suo ultimo capitolo di Batman, Il Cavaliere Oscuro - Il ritorno che non si è visto candidare in alcuna categoria.

Curiosa la categoria miglior attore dove troviamo, oltre al già due volte vincitore Daniel Day-Lewis (1957) per Lincoln, anche Bradley Cooper (1975), Hugh Jackman (1968) e Joaquin Phoenix (1974). Il quinto incomodo per la gara alla statuetta dorata sarà Denzel Washington (1954), e non Jamie Foxx per Django di Tarantino, ma per il meno noto Flight.

Più anziana la cinquina del migliore attore non protagonista con Alan Arkin (1934), Robert De Niro (1943), Philip Seymour Hoffman (1967), Tommy Lee Jones (1946) e Christopher Waltz (1956).

Jessica Chastain (1977), Jennifer Lawrence (1990), Emmanuelle Riva (24 Febbraio 1927, Hiroshima mon amour nel curriculum, compirà 85 proprio nel giorno della cerimonia), Quvenzhané Wallis (2003, con i suoi nove anni è la più giovane candidata all'Oscar) e Naomi Watts (1968) sono le attrici che puntano alla statuetta di miglior attrice protagonista mentre Amy Adams, Sally Field, Anne Jacki, Weaver Anne Hathaway ed una rediviva Helen Hunt sono in lizza per la miglior attrice non protagonista.

Tra i registi favorito Steven Speilberg (quattro premi Oscar su quattordici nomination raccolte) e si nota l'assenza di Quentin Tarantino per Django.

Non ci resta che aspettare il 25 Febbraio italiano per sapere chi avrà portato a casa cosa.
